Karen Dorsey Design has rebranded to Talo Design Company.

So why the name change?    We are growing as a company and it is no longer a one woman show and I wanted our name to reflect that.  Not to mention the internet has really put a damper on the name "Karen".  FYI, I never ask to speak to the manager. Aileen is the one that does that!

What does Talo mean?    Talo means house in Finnish.  I struggled with selecting the perfect name for my business.  Once I came across the word talo I knew it was the one.  It instantly conjured memories of my own Finnish grandmother hosting dinners and baking cookies.  That inviting, comfortable feeling is what I strive to create in every project I design.

What will change?    It will still be the same creative designs and general process you are used to.  Our logo, email addresses and social media may look a little different.  Behind the scenes, the processes inside the design firm have been streamlined to allow for increased work load and staff growth.  We are also working on some exciting new things for the future.
